Everything you wanted to know but didn’t know who to ask

What is the sugar content of Remedy Kombucha?

Remedy is naturally free from sugar. There is no sugar left in the final product. We use raw sugar to brew our kombucha because it is essential food for the culture, however all of it consumed during the fermentation process. It’s important to look after your gut health and we believe a kombucha that is low in sugar (and high in live organic acids and healthy bacteria) will do just that.  Sarah Wilson, author and blogger behind I Quit Sugar, is one of many respected health and wellness experts who drinks and recommends Remedy.

Should I keep Remedy Kombucha in or out of the fridge?

Remedy Kombucha is a-ok in or out of the fridge. This is because we brew out all of the sugar (which means there’s no risk of refermentation) and our live cultures are strong, healthy and safe. We’ve tested throughout shelf life to prove it.

We do recommend serving Remedy chilled, because we think it tastes best cold… although some Remedy-lovers are so keen they will drink it at any temperature!

Stevia is a plant that belongs to the chrysanthemum family, which grows in Paraguay and Brazil. It contains no fructose yet is 300 times sweeter than sugar. By adding a touch of stevia to our drink, it allows us to truly provide you with a ‘gut-friendly’ drink that tastes super delicious. We blend stevia with a naturally occurring nectar known as erythritol (commonly found in pears, watermelons, grapes and other fermented products like wine, cheese and soy sauce). Both stevia and erythritol have been used as natural sweeteners in many parts of the world for hundreds of years.

What is a SCOBY?

The SCOBY stands for:  Symbiotic Culture Of Bacteria and Yeast. Also referred to as the ‘mother’, this is the living culture that makes kombucha so special. A great analogy is to think of it as the ‘home’ for the good bacteria and healthy yeasts that magically transforms tea into kombucha.

Why has my kombucha arrived on separate days?

We ship via Australia Post. You will receive a tracking link (if not, check your junk or spam folder, they sometimes end up in there). If you order than one case, they will be despatched together from Remedy HQ on a single consignment, however each case will have its own sticker and individual tracking number.
